It’s quite exciting as this year seems to be very different. Last week I had the pleasure of playing at Cardiff Museum in the beautiful impressionists gallery with the trio. It is always such fun and the music always leaves me on a high of excitement. We also performed at Celtic Manor’s weekly residency in the Olive Tree.
I was also playing in the new high-tech Hadyn Ellis building for the University for their annual welsh cakes afternoon (of course there was a greater cause, but the welsh cakes are the most memorable for me!).
Next week seems to be the start of wedding season as well as being invited to be on the panel for Yehudi Menuhin’s Live Music Now auditions. I spent the start of my career being very grateful to the scheme and it is an honour to be invited back to be on the panel.
As well as preparing for a recording with a lovely Galicean bagpiper called Mano, I am practising hard for the ever-evolving jazz that has taken over my life and of course my new hobby of being a drummer.
