It’s been a great week which started last Friday performing at the Hay Festival with the RWCMD. It is the first year for the college to be linked with the Hay and I had the opportunity to play for the first concert with some great musicians (Tony Robinson on drums/congas, Mark Trounson on bass and Margot Morgan singing). The Sound Castle is a 500 seater tent, hosting some great performances and it was very exciting to be part of.

Also this week, Terry Matthews (owner of Celtic Manor and entrepeneur who brought the Ryder Cup to Wales) held an evening in his company, for which I had the pleasure of playing at. This was then followed with the launch of the new fine dining restaurant Terry M at Celtic Manor (with canapes to die for !).

This week also sees the Welsh Open at Celtic, but with weather hinting at winter, it’s been a bit of a wash out. I’m hoping a little soothing harp music this weekend might help soothe the waters.

After beautiful weddings in Ludlow on Monday and Bibury on Wednesday, my week ends with a birthday party at Le Manoir……the perfect end to a busy week!
